Volunteering at
Sunrise Side Animal Rescue is fun and rewarding!
Animal lovers from all over will find something that interests them within our volunteer opportunites! We have everything from cat and dog fostering to fundraising event planning. We do not require any minimim hours in order to volunteer at our organization, feel free to come and go as you please! Whatever fits within your schedule, we will work with you!

You must be 18 or older in order to volunteer at Sunrise Side Animal Rescue without a parent or guardian, anyone younger than 13 will need to be with their parent or guardian while volunteering.

Kitty Cat Club
Love Felines? Boy do we have opportunity for you! We have many cats in our care at the shelter, and we are always needing more help with fostering and transporting them to the veterinarian’s office feeding them, cleaning their cages, and of course giving them love!
Kennel Club
Get up close and personal with our rescue pups and dogs by joining our Kennel Club! The kennel club helps with fostering which includes walking, feeding, cleaning, and giving our doggies much needed love and attention. An extremely rewarding experience!
Event Volunteer
We are always looking for ideas! Maybe you want to come out and support us at our adoption or fundraising events, working to represent the organization! Our event planning is a whole lot of fun, and we are always looking for new members.
Admin Help
Do you have organizational skills? Are you good with the public and are able to keep cool in a fast-moving environment? We need Admin help at Sunrise Side Animal Rescue! This would include answering calls, helping with questions, and assisting with adoptions, and helping Board Members while they execute their duties.
Fundraising
To meet the Rescue’s goals of saving the lives of cats and dogs we need capital. You can help by working and organizing fundraising events, helping us find items to use at our events and finding sponsors. We also need people with writing skills who can work on grant proposals.
Medical Volunteers
Our sick kitties need care! Our medical volunteers consist of dedicated animal lovers who are willing to come in for a shift or two a week to administer medications to our sick kitties. This will include giving meds, force feeding if neccessary, giving fluids, and giving them lots of love and care!
