Fosters are a vital part of the Sunrise Side Animal Rescue mission! When you foster an animal through Sunrise Side Animal Rescue, you are not only saving one life but two! The kennel or cage that is cleared for us through a foster makes it so that we can save another life, making our mission of rescuing at risk dogs or cats that much easier.
Fostering through Sunrise Side Animal Rescue is smooth and rewarding. We will be with you every step of the way!

Foster Requirements
Fosters must be at least 22 years old.
Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided.
If you currently rent, you must provide contact information for your landlord or management company in order to confirm any restrictions.
Applicants must live within either the Tawas/East Tawas areas if interested in fostering. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants must allow an Sunrise Side Animal Rescue representative into your home for a visit to ensure that your home is safe for the potential new foster animal. All members of the household are required to be present for the visit.
